I recently got my hands on the VTOMAN Jump 1000 to test it out and see if it would make a great battery backup for my home, and I was impressed with its features and ability. I tried other products on the market, but I have to say, the VTOMAN 1000 is right up there with the best portable power stations on the market.

Why Should You Purchase a Portable Power Station?
Before I jump into my review, I want to touch on the reason for purchasing a battery power station in the first place. After using the VTOMAN 1000, I realized that the applications for this unit are endless.
Again, using a battery power source is much better than a gas generator. Me, I loved that I could use the battery inside. The Jump 1000 is quiet, doesn’t stink with fumes, and is small and compact.

The VTOMAN also allowed me to expand my battery power by adding a second battery. This means I could go from 1408Wh to 2956Wh. A tremendous portable power station just got even more impressive. Now, I can be ready for a power outage or have power with me if I take a trip in my van or RV. The possibilities are endless with the extra battery – seriously.
This backup battery has plenty of inputs as well. There are 12 ports, including 3 AC outlets, 4 USB-A ports, 2 USB-c ports, 2 DC ports and one car port. You can purchase jumper cables for your vehicle separately, which is handy if needed.
The VTOMAN Battery Power Station was great when I went ice fishing and used it to charge phones and my laptop and even power on a TV to watch some old movies.
A premium LFP battery powers the VTOMAN, and you’ll get about 3,100 charge cycles, adding up to 55,000 hours of battery performance.
The Jump 1000 also has three input modes for charging the battery. You can use the 12V-30V input, the 12V DC input, or the car input.
One of the best features, especially if you lose power, is the built-in light on the VTOMAN Jump 1000. You just hit the button on the back of the device to enable the LED light. You have several brightness levels and a strobe light which two-speed settings. It’s such a handy feature.
The Quality of the VTOMAN Jump 1000
I was impressed with the quality of the Jump 1000.
It’s made from a sturdy plastic construction, and you can tell holding it that it’s made to take a beating. It’s heavy but well-made.
It weighs almost 40 pounds. It’s not something that you’d want to carry around with you on a long trip. It’s a device you want to find it a home and leave it. Though it was heavy, it just felt strong and high-quality. I didn’t feel like it was going to break in my hand. Even the handle feels reinforced.
The Jump 1000 also has several different management systems to ensure safety.

It comes with LifeBMS, which uses a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, which is higher safety and reliability than other types of batteries. Also, lithium iron phosphate batteries have a slower discharging rate and are becoming a standard for most outdoor or emergency power supply.

The inverter in the Jump 1000 is pure sine wave 110V/60Hz. This gives you true AC power to your monitors and computers. The LiFePO4 battery, an excellent quality battery, provides fast charging and longer battery life and promotes a more extended battery cycle.

You must agree that the Jump 1000 is a high-quality portable power station with many inputs, outputs, and safety protocols. After researching and using the battery, I knew this wasn’t just a pretty face.

My Experience Using the VTOMAN Jump 1000
I have nothing but good things to say about the VTOMAN Jump 1000. I used it in different scenarios for a long time to ensure it would be a good battery backup for my home – I wasn’t disappointed.
This thing handled whatever I threw at it with ease.
The power went out on the third week that I owned the Jump 1000, and I could easily power my cable box and TV. While our neighborhood was in darkness, we were watching a movie. How cool is that!
It was super easy to use as well. Just hit the button on the front of the unit to indicate how you want to use the Jump 1000 – DC, USB or AC. Next, I plug in the device that I want to charge or operate, and that’s all.
The LCD screen on the front will give you everything you need to know. It tells you the percentage of the battery remaining, the output power, the remaining discharge time, and which input is at work. It’s super easy to read, and I love that the LCD screen is prelit for when it’s dark.
I wish it had a small LED light on the front so I could see to plug in my devices when it’s dark. It would also work to have the inputs backlit.
As mentioned above, I do love that this has a built-in LED light on the back. When the power goes out, you turn it around and turn on the LED light which lights up my whole living room. It has three brightness settings and a strobe light with two speeds.
You’ll find air vents on each side of the Jump 1000, the LED light on the back, and all the inputs and outputs on the front. It’s a solid design.
I charged the battery overnight and let it sit for a month, and it only discharged a few percent. This means you’ll be ready when you need it, even if you forget you have it.
My Conclusion
Overall, I was super pleased with the VTOMAN JUMP 1000. I believe it’s one of the best portable batteries on the market today; it comes in sturdy construction, has a solid battery with several safety protocols, and has plenty of features. This portable battery is going to work for a whole bunch of applications.
