The ice from this unit should not be confused with nugget ice. If you are looking for a sonic or nugget ice maker, then we suggest that you purchase the Opal Nugget Portable Ice Maker. I have a VREMI ice maker that is now out of warranty and it needs a power module. I have contacted the MOHAWK group that markets this in the U.S. They say that parts are not available because it is manufactured in China. I don’t want to throw away a good icemaker just because of one part. Does anyone know where parts may be available or how to contact the manufacturer?

I’m needing a power circuit board for my 1.5 year old VREMI ice maker. Support at VREMI says that no internal parts are available. BUYER BEWARE: If your unit needs any part after warranty, You cdan just throw it away as no parts are available. L P

This is common for cheaper ice makers. The parts to replace are worth more than the actual ice maker. At that point, it’s better to purchase a new ice maker.

Thanks for the tip. I’m trying to take mine apart to figure out what’s up with it malfunctioning now. Maybe I’ll just save the time and chunk it. It worked great for a solid year.
