Have you ever been in a hurry, ran out the door with a cup of cereal only to find that it’s a soggy mess when you get a chance to eat it? Yep, we’ve all been there. Cearel isn’t a good breakfast for the road.
Yet, we all wish that it was. We hear of the breakfast cereal bars that are delicious and perfect for taking on the go. But cereal bars are not cereal.
There is just something about eating cereal that makes us all feel like kids again.
That’s why I was intrigued when I heard of CRUNCHCUP. You probably saw it on . . . I don’t know . . . TicTok! It was smeared all over the platform. Everyone seemed to be eating their cereal from a cup.

CRUNCHCUP is a portable cereal cup. It’s about eating cereal the right way, and the CRUNCHCUP makes cereal in a cup cool again. They claim that their product is perfect for any “student, parent or business professional that wants to take their cereal with them on the go.”
Wait! I am at least two of those people. Maybe I could test out the CRUNCHCUP and see if it is actually worth the $30 price tag.
So, that’s what I did. I went on Amazon, and purchased my very own portable cereal cup. I used it for a few days and am ready to report my findings to you.
Crunch the numbers, so to speak.
I’m going to break down this article into three sections: my experience with the CRUNCHCUP, the Pros, and Cons I discovered from using it myself, and whether I would recommend you head to Amazon to buy your own.
The CRUNCHCUP feels like a novelty item, almost gimmicky. But is it? Does it solve a problem that exists?
I’m really excited to share my findings; let’s get started.
My Experience with the CRUNCHCUP
I purchased the CRUNCHCUP on Amazon and was excited to give it a try to see if it actually makes my life better.
My first opinion of the CRUNCHCUP is that it was gimmicky. But I gave it an honest chance.
So the concept is simple. You have a section for the cereal and a section for the milk. These two never combine until it’s in your mouth.
Never worry about soggy cereal again. The CRUNCHCUP keeps the milk and cereal separate until it's time to eat your cereal. It comes in several colors, and it's easy to fill.
Cereal that sits in milk too long becomes a soggy mess. So CRUNCHCUP’s design separates the cereal from the milk so that it remains “crunchy” when you eat it.
Simple. Right?
Though I think the concept is brilliant, it’s not foolproof. I’ll talk a little about that in the next section of this article.
I used the CRUNCHCUP for about a week and liked the idea of a cup that allowed you to take cereal with you on the go. The concept itself worked well. Cereal that doesn’t sit in milk doesn’t get soggy. Success.
But there were some issues.
If I wasn’t careful, it would leak over my shirt. I tried very hard to keep the mess minimal, but I usually spilled no matter how much I tried.
It took me a while to get the hang of it, but I eventually stopped dripping all over my shirt.
Sometimes the milk got into the cereal cup and caused the cereal to stick to the cup. I’d shake it to get the cereal out, but I always got more milk than cereal.
It can be a battle to get a balance of cereal and milk.
The PROS and CONS of the CRUNCHCUP
I liked that the CRUNCHCUP allows you to bring cereal on the go. Period.
I thought the idea of the CRUNCHCUP was good and that kids and adults could eat cereal in the car.
First, getting cereal into a small cup is almost impossible without making a mess. I wish the opening were bigger.
After using the CRUNCHCUP for several months, I realized that you’re supposed to keep the cereal cup inside the milk cup when filling it with cereal. This gives you a funnel-like structure for filling with cereal, making it far more manageable. I also eliminated all the mess. So I guess you can cross that out as a CON.
Second, I didn’t like that the CRUNCHCUP often spilled or that milk got into the cereal cup, and you had to fight to get the cereal out. I managed to eat the cereal several times without any problem. I think a kid would struggle with this and get the milk everywhere.
I also didn’t like that you got more milk than cereal and that the cereal section wasn’t huge (you get about half of a regular bowl of cereal). No place indicates how much milk you should put into the cup. It says on the back of the box how much milk to add, but it would be nice to have a line indicating the maximum amount.
I tried the CRUNCHCUP on my way to work, and it did work as intended. It felt like I was eating a bowl of cereal. The cereal was nice and crunchy, and I thought the idea was cool.
Would I Recommend This Product?
Should you follow the TilTok trend and purchase the CRUNCHCUP? I think it’s a good concept, but it is a concept that has its problems.
I just think a child would really struggle to get it to work as intended. I’m sure they would get milk with the cereal, which would get jammed up.

When the cereal meets the milk, the whole idea is ruined.
I did get it to work several times. When It worked, I loved it.
Is it gimmicky? Yep. Was it a fantastic idea, and did I love it? Also yep.
If you’re in a rush and want a bowl of your favorite cereal while you’re on the road, maybe you can try the CRUNCHCUP.
