It’s hard to find a decent trimmer that won’t harm the areas below the belt. When I heard of The Lawn Mower 4.0 by Manscaped, I had to check it out. The team at Manscaped claims that their trimmer is safe on the groin and that you can use their trimmer without fear of nicks and cuts.

I received The Lawn Mower 4.0 by Manscaped and was really excited to see its results. Is it worthy of all of the hype? If you’re looking to purchase any of the Manscaped products, I’m going to lay out my personal experience, and let you know if this ball trimmer made the cut.

The Features of The Lawn Mower 4.0

At the end of the day, The Lawn Mower 4.0 is a men’s grooming trimmer.

The Lawn Mower 4.0 comes with its patented SkinSafe™ Technology. The replaceable ceramic blades are moved back from the edge of the trimmer so you don’t nick or cut your diamonds.

The Lawn Mower 4.0 Features

This groin trimmer is waterproof, so you can use it in the shower (less mess), on the toilet, or by your sink. I find using the trimmer in the shower easier for cleaning up, and the water actually helps the cut to be closer to the skin.

The Lawn Mower 4.0 is Waterproof

The Lawn Mower 4.0 is a powerhouse when it comes to trimmers – a 7,000 RPM motor. The 600mA li-ion battery uses a wireless cradle to charge and will last you a long time before it needs to be charged.

The Functionality of The Lawn Mower 4.0

The trimmer has a really comfortable feel. It has a single multi-function button at the top of the unit, a LED indicator light strip on the tail end, and an LED light on the front.

The LED on the front is perfect if you’re using the trimmer in an area that doesn’t have a lot of light. It’s actually very bright, and I thought it was a great idea.

The Lawn Mower LED Light on the Front of the Unit

The multi-function button is used for three main operations: turning the trimmer on and off, locking the trimmer for travel, and turning off the LED light on the front.

To turn on The Lawn Mower 4.0, just tap the multi-function button once. When you’re done manscaping, you can turn the unit off by tapping the button once again. You’ll notice when the unit is powered on, the LED light strip is lit up.

To enable the lock mode on The Lawn Mower 4.0, just do three rapid presses on the multi-function button. When the lock mode is enabled you notice the LED light will slowly climb toward the top of the trimmer. Anytime you press the power button when the lock mode is enabled, you’ll notice the LED light will slowly climb to the top of the trimmer and the power will not turn on.

Manscaped Trimmer comes with a wireless charger

To disable the lock mode, just press the button three rapid presses again and the LED light will climb down – the trimmer is now ready to use.

When the trimmer is operating, you can disable the LED light on the front of the unit by just holding down the multi-function button for three seconds. The same is true for turning the light back on, just hold the button down for three seconds.

The wireless charger is a great feature. The wireless charging dock is powered by USB, I use an outlet shelf in my bathroom. You can check it on Amazon here. The outlet shelf is perfect for the charging dock, and when I am done with the trimmer, I just put it back on the charger.

The Lawn Mower 4.0 Review

I received THE PERFORMANCE PACKAGE 4.0 in the mail a couple of days ago and was excited to get it unpacked and try it out. I did need some manscaping done, so the timing was perfect.

The trimmer is nice and light, and the rubberized handle felt nice to hold. When The Lawn Mower 4.0 is on, you can tell that this trimmer has serious power. It says that it’s supposed to be quiet, but it’s noticeably loud, I would say the same as all of the other hair trimmers I have used.

I turned on the trimmer, placed my foot down on the toilet, and started manscaping. I have to say it glided nicely through my pubic hair and didn’t slow down at all.

  • Not a Super Close Trim

Like any man, I was nervous when I started to press the trimmer against my balls. It’s a pretty normal feeling using any trimmer in that area, I would assume. Yet, the more I used it, the more confidence I had that it was safe.

I did nick myself a couple of times. I’m not sure if I was moving too fast, or just got a little bit of skin caught in it, but I did see a little bit of blood. I’ve used the Philips Groomer before The Lawn Mower 4.0, and I would nick myself time and time again, so the Manscaped trimmer is definitely safer on your balls.

I found that it was very difficult to get all of the hairs around my groin. The Lawn Mower 4.0 isn’t the closest cut, that’s for sure. If you’re thinking you’re going to be smooth as a beach stone, then you’re going to be disappointed. It trims your balls, but it’s not a shaver. I went over it again and again with the same results.

Overall, it’s a good experience. No matter which trimmer you decide to purchase, you should probably make sure that you take your time around your family jewels.

Can a Woman Use The Lawn Mower 4.0?

Absolutely! My wife used The Lawn Mower 4.0, and she said that it worked well. She did say that it pulled a little, but she never got nicked.

The Lawn Mower 4.0 is marketed to men, but it’s just a trimmer that has patented blades that shouldn’t cut you. Women can use it too.

The Weed Whacker Review

The Weed Wacker is a tool that every man should have in their bathroom. The older I get, the more I feel my hair is leaving my head and going to my nose and ears.

The Weed Whacker by Manscaped Review

The Weed Whacker is a safe way to get rid of those pesky nose and ear hairs. I have used ear and nose trimmers before, and they always pull. It hurts, and it’s frustrating.

The Weed Whacker doesn’t pull or cut you.

It’s waterproof, with a 9,000 RPM motor with a rotary dual-edge blade which means you can move around the hypoallergenic stainless steel cone tip without hurting yourself or pulling hair.

It worked well. I thought you really had to hunt down the hairs, but once you found one, you could really hear it grind them down. I was able to clean up my nose and ears with very little effort.

Crop Cleanser, Crop Preserver and Crop Reviver Review

After you’re done manscaping, it’s good to give everything a good wash. Using the Manscaped Crop Cleanser is the perfect moisturizing wash that has soothing aloe and vitamin E.

Crop Cleanser, Preserver and Reviver Review

Next, you’ll want to deal with your dry skin with the Manscaped Crop Preserver. When your skin gets dry, it can cause chaffing and becomes very uncomfortable. When you’re trimming your groin, it can dry your skin and cause irritation.

I found that the Crop Preserver works well keeping your groin moisturized. It’s so nice and soft. There was a noticeable difference after using the Crop Preserver from Manscaped.

Lastly, a spray of the Crop Reviver is that extra boost for cooling down your boys after a shave. I found it really good after the gym as well.

Conclusion

The Manscaped Weed Whacker, Lawn Mower, and other toiletry items are quality products and make you feel like a king.

The trimmer is powerful and handles well.

The nose and ear trimmer work as advertised, the moisturizers, wash, and spray, smell great and keep everything nice and soft.
